👋 Hello there!

My name is Marek. I'm a software developer with a wide interest in anything that has a processor in it.

Professionally I focus on full-stack development with .NET, Python, React and Angular, deployed on Azure, along with the whole CI/CD and DevOps stack around it - including Azure Pipelines/GitHub Actions and Terraform/Pulumi infrastructure as code. Recently I also started working on agentic AI systems.

Outside of work:

• I maintain a homelab powered by NixOS, with a fully declarative config auto-deployed from code.
• My house runs Home Assistant.
• I started getting into electronics - soldering, reverse-engineering IoT and smart home gadgets, and building my own based on ESP32 boards.
• Two cats.

Some stuff that I made

nuget-packageslock2nix

A Nix helper that allows compiling .NET projects with Nix, without having to maintain dependency content hashes. That way, you can introduce Nix in a repository without other team members needing to worry about it. It works by using .NET's optional lockfiles.

nix-magic-setup

A GitHub Action that bundles together multiple other actions related to setting up a Nix environment. Created since I noticed that I was setting up the same actions across multiple repos. Bundles a Nix installer, caching using GitHub Actions cache, direnv integration and other small things into one action usable with one line of yaml.

comment-flake-lock-changelog

A GitHub Action that analyzes PRs that update flake.lock (Nix Flake lockfiles), and comments with a changelog generated from Git history of all the updated flake inputs. Less relevant now that Dependabot supports Nix natively and provides similar changelogs automatically.
